Lady shares experience with sales rep who undercharged her

A Nigerian lady, @priye_tanya, shared a heartwarming encounter after noticing a payment error at a store.

She had purchased an item worth ₦56,000 but was mistakenly charged only ₦5,600. Realizing the mistake, she returned to the store, ready to cover the difference and her transport fare of ₦3,000.

Upon arrival, the sales representative faced the wrath of her boss, who insisted the error would be deducted from her salary.

The young employee, visibly fearful and regretful, exclaimed, “Thank you, Jesus!” upon seeing Tanya.

Moved by the moment, Tanya declined to take her transport fare and accepted a soft drink instead, highlighting an act of empathy and forgiveness that has resonated with many online.

@priye_tanya said: “This morning, I went out to buy something worth 56k and paid with my card.

When I got home, something in my spirit told me to check my account just to be sure they didn’t charge me wrongly. When I checked, I realized the sales rep removed 5,600 instead of 56,000.

That meant I had to spend another 3k on transport to go back. I had already made up my mind that I would collect my transport fare.

When I got there, her boss was shouting that the money would be deducted from her salary. The sales rep just stood there,she wasn’t crying, but i could see fear and regret on her face.
Immediately she saw me, she shouted, “Thank you, Jesus!”…

I couldn’t bring myself to collect the transport fare again, even though she offered. She insisted on giving me a soft drink instead”
