Lady narrates how mum turned one missing knife into neighbour’s giant cooking pot

A lady has shared an amusing story about how her mother allegedly turned the loss of a kitchen knife into an unexpected gain after a neighbour refused to return it.

According to the lady, her mother had lent the neighbour a knife, expecting it to be returned afterwards. However, when she requested it back, the neighbour reportedly insisted that the knife looked like one she owned and therefore belonged to her.

Rather than argue or fight over the utensil, the woman reportedly allowed the matter to rest and waited for another opportunity.

Woman borrows neighbour’s giant cooking pot

Months later, the lady said her mother approached the same neighbour and asked to borrow her biggest cooking pot, described as the type typically used when preparing food for ceremonies.

After receiving the pot, her mother allegedly wrote her initials prominently on it using red nail polish.

The lady recalled her mother telling the neighbour, “This pot is mine. See my initials.”

When the disagreement attracted other people who came to intervene, the woman reportedly relied on the initials as evidence that the cooking pot belonged to her.

According to the narrator, those who intervened eventually agreed with her mother because her name was written on the pot.

Lady amused by mum’s unusual revenge

The daughter presented the incident as an example of just how dramatic her mother could be, particularly because she had apparently waited months before responding to the knife incident.

She jokingly concluded, “And that’s how my mother recovered her knife in the form of a giant cooking pot.”
