Lady laments after saving empty water bottles for 7 months, only to get N11,000

A young Nigerian lady has shared her disappointment after selling hundreds of empty water bottles she gathered over several months, only to get N11,000 from recyclers.

Saved for Months, Expected More

The lady, identified as @ella.tender on TikTok, said she and her siblings started storing used plastic bottles about seven months ago.

Their goal was to gather enough to make a reasonable amount of money once sold.

Bags Filled and Packed in a Tricycle

According to her, the bottles were so many that they filled multiple bags, which were then loaded into a tricycle for transportation.

Despite the volume, the recyclers offered only N11,000, far below what she expected.

Sharing the moment on TikTok, she wrote: “My siblings and I saved up cans for seven months only to be given N11,000 in return.”

Her post quickly drew reactions from Nigerians, with many saying they had similar experiences with recycling companies.
