Lady finds mother’s 1990s love letters to father asking for ₦900, money for cream and onion
A lady has discovered old love letters her mother wrote to her father while they were dating in the 1990s.
The letters, written in 1997, 1994, 1993, 1995, and 1992, contained personal requests such as asking for ₦900, money for cream, and even onions.
This was revealed in a post shared on TikTok by user chigirl430, who showed more than ten of the letters.
She explained that her mother wrote them to the man who later became her husband and father to her.
While going through the letters on camera, she read out some parts, saying: “This one is 1997, this one is 1994, 1993, this one 1995, 1992.”
One of the letters read: “Dearest husband, it is a pleasure for me to…” and went on to describe how her mother felt unwell, asking her father for ₦900.
According to the daughter, he only sent ₦200 in response.
She also revealed another letter where her mother requested money for cream and onion, noting: “She said she doesn’t have onion and her cream has finished.”
In a 1997 letter, her mother added: “Please try to reply me for me to cool my mind.”
The video quickly drew attention online as many social media users trooped to the comments section to share their thoughts and reactions.
