Lady causes buzz as she shares video of massive foodstuffs she bought for N33,500; it stuns many

A Nigerian lady identified as proprietor of Zino Foodmart has left many in disbelief as she showcased a diverse array of foodstuffs acquired for a mere N33,500.

This revelation comes against the backdrop of the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) reporting a staggering 31.52% food inflation rate in October 2023, with emerging reports forecasting a potential surge in prices for essential commodities in 2024.

The eye-opening disclosure unfolded on TikTok, where the lady, who operates Zino Foodmart, shared a video displaying the contents of a carton filled with groceries.

The assortment included six packs of spaghetti, a 10kg bag of rice, sachets of noodles, Palm oil, Semovita, Titus Sardine and various packets of spices.

What caught the attention of many was the claim that the rice alone amounted to N10,200.

As the video gained traction, netizens expressed skepticism, prompting the lady to respond by sharing a WhatsApp chat featuring a customer’s review.

The chat reportedly showcased a satisfied customer who had acquired a similar set of food items for a significantly lower price of N10,000 through Zino Foodmart.
