Lady arrested by Mercy Johnson for defamation regains freedom, thanks Verydarkman
TikToker, Eddie Bliss has regained her freedom following the withdrawal of all charges earlier filed against her by Nollywood actress Mercy Johnson over defamation.
It would be recalled that the TikToker had made defamatory statements about the Nollywood veteran and her husband.
She had alleged infidelity on the part of Mercy Johnson’s husband and accused Mercy Johnson of conniving to cause a miscarriage for their pregnant househelp.
Verydarkman calls for her release
The influencer, Verydarkman had weighed in on the matter after she was arrested for her defamatory statements.
Speaking on the incident, Verydarkman who berated Eddie’s detention, calling out Mercy Johnson for being biased in her case.
He tagged the defamation as a civil case, adding that Mercy Johnson recently pegged the detention of Regina Daniels brother, Sammy unlawful when he was arrested for the same offense by senator Ned Nwoko.
TikToker appreciates Verydarkman
In a video shared after her release, Eddie Bliss expressed deep gratitude to social media activist Verydarkman, crediting him for playing a key role in securing her freedom. According to her, Verydarkman personally intervened and ensured her bail process was completed.
She said in part …
“This is a special appreciation to Verydarkman. He came through for me. I don’t know what to say or how to appreciate him. He literally came to NCC office and he was the one that signed my bail papers. We didn’t know what to do; we had made a lot of calls. He came and sent his lawyers. He also gave me some advice which I promise to adhere to…”
