Lady accuses Air Peace of theft, claims staff stole her iPad, demands CCTV footage
A Nigerian lady has accused Air Peace of theft, alleging that a staff member stole her iPad from her luggage. She is now demanding the release of CCTV footage showing how her bag was handled.
The claim was made in a series of posts shared on her TikTok page by the user abuja_beauty_essentials, where she detailed her experience.
According to her, she had placed her iPad inside her bag and later went to retrieve it, only to discover it was missing. In one of the videos, she confronted a staff member of the airline, expressing frustration over the incident.
In her words: “How do you guys see drug, and it gets to my own electronics, you people did not see it to tell me not to go in with it. Now they have taken it. Is it okay that you people are employing thieves?”
While she spoke, a staff member, whose face was not visible in the video, attempted to explain, suggesting that she should have declared the items in her bag before boarding.
Unconvinced and visibly upset, she continued her outburst on social media, tagging the airline in a direct message: “@Air Peace Limited I think y’all think it’s normal to employe thieves and come up with you are not supposed to put your valuables in your bag, so y’all are indirectly saying our bags are not safe, I mean!”
“Y’all know that your staffs at the airport are thieves, y’all have normalized stealing from your customers. Y’all are selfish for not prioritizing our lives and valuables. Y’all are thieves…..”
In the comment section, she added: “He said it was my fault and that it’s okay that their staffs are thieves 😭😭.”
She continued, “Yes 😭 and said I wasn’t supposed to put any valuable items in my bag. Make it make sense. It’s my bag and my bag is supposed to be safe with you guys. I’m your passenger. If my bag isn’t safe, what happens to my life? 😭😭.”
Her allegations sparked widespread reactions, with many concerned individuals flooding the comment section to express their opinions on the situation.
The airline is yet to respond publicly to the claims as of the time of this report.
