KWASU final-year student denied exam hall entry, dies while rushing to pick his I.D at home

A 400-level Business Education student of Kwara State University (KWASU), Malete, Idris Aremu Agboluaje, has died following a road accident while attempting to retrieve his student identity card ahead of his final-year examination.

According to eyewitness accounts reported by The Guardian, Agboluaje was denied access to the examination hall after failing to present his student ID.

In a bid to meet up with the exam, he reportedly rushed back toward the school gate to get the card but was involved in a fatal accident.

The Association of Business Educators of Nigeria (ABEN), KWASU chapter, has expressed deep sorrow over the incident, describing the death as a painful loss to the department.

“Our hearts go out to his parents, family members, friends, and classmates during this difficult time,” the association said in a statement.

Nigerians have taken to the comment section to express their sympathy and commiserate with the bereaved family while expressing farewell wishes to the dead.
