Kogi University lecturer reportedly passes away during intercourse with student

Tragedy reportedly strikes as Dr. Olabode Abimbola Ibikunle, a senior lecturer at Prince Abubakar Audu University (PAAU) in Anyigba, Kogi State passes away during a sexual intercourse.

According to reports, Dr. Ibikunle passed away on July 15, 2025, during a sexual encounter with a 22-year-old 200-level student, Gloria Samuel, at a hotel in Anyigba.

The exact cause of death remains unknown with investigation underway and an autopsy conducted to determine the circumstances.

The lecturer, who was married with children,  checked into the hotel with the student and allegedly consumed multiple energy drinks before the incident.

According to a recent report, the female student, Gloria Samuel, has been taken into custody and transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for further questioning.

However, management of the university are yet to release an official statement in regards the alleged incident.
