Kevin De Bruyne to undergo Napoli medical this week – report

Kevin De Bruyne is expected in Naples by Thursday to undergo medical and complete the final formalities of his transfer to Napoli, Gistreel sports understands.

Barring any last-minute delays, the Belgian playmaker will finalize the move by the end of the week, reports Football Italia.

The contracts have already been signed and De Bruyne is poised to join the Serie A champions on a free transfer after his Manchester City contract expired.

The 32-year-old is set to sign a two-year deal with an option for an additional season, marking the end of a decade-long spell at City, where he won six Premier League titles and a Champions League.

Napoli, under Antonio Conte, have been confident of securing De Bruyne since early May.

His wife has already visited Naples to arrange accommodation and schooling for their children.

De Bruyne could be Napoli’s first summer signing, with a deal for 20-year-old Empoli defender Luca Marianucci also nearing completion.
