Jos attack: “I’m ready to face you” – Rev. Dachomo warns Sheikh Gumi over alleged threat to US missionary

Plateau-based pastor, Reverend Ezekiel Dachomo, has issued a stern warning to Sheikh Gumi over an alleged threat to US missionary, Alex Barbir, following recent developments linked to Jos massacre.
The cleric’s reaction comes after the foreign missionary spoke out on the tragic incident, drawing attention to the plight of victims affected by the violence in Angwan Rukuba community.
Speaking passionately in a recent video, Dachomo said:
“Gumi, let me tell you, Alex Barbir is far better than you. He is with us, tending to the wounds of those affected, while you are negotiating for those causing harm. What sort of religion is that?”
The outspoken cleric, who has long been a voice on alleged Christian persecution, expressed concern that Gumi’s actions could put the missionary in danger, especially given the sensitive nature of the situation.
He further stressed that he would hold Gumi responsible if anything happens to Barbir, showing his readiness to confront any threat.
“If anything happens to Alex, I assure you, you will know no peace. I am ready to face you,” he added.
It is worth noting that the Yelwata area in Benue State was attacked by bandits last year, resulting in numerous deaths and widespread destruction.
In contrast, Alex Barbir reportedly took steps to support affected communities, including rebuilding 38 houses for internally displaced persons (IDPs), earning recognition for his humanitarian efforts.
