Jorge Costa passes away

Tragedy has struck the football community with the death of former Porto captain, Jorge Costa.

According to reports, Jorge Costa passed away at the age of 53 due to a cardiac arrest at the team’s training center.

He was rushed to São João Hospital, but pronouced dead on arrival.

Prior to his death, Costa served as Porto’s Director of Football and won eight league titles and the Champions League in 2004 under José Mourinho.

The football community has paid tribute to Costa, with condolences and tributes pouring in from prominet figures including UEFA President, Aleksander Čeferin.
