Job seeker recounts dragging food with interviewer after failing to secure role

A Nigerian job seeker has shared a hilarious account of how a failed job interview unexpectedly turned into a free lunch opportunity.
The man, identified on X as @Omolomo_o, narrated that he had attended a job interview that quickly began to go south. Sensing he had little chance of securing the role, he spotted a silver lining when the interviewer walked in with a takeaway meal.
According to him, the boss, out of courtesy, invited everyone present to share the food. Without hesitation, he washed his hands and joined in, helping himself to the amala and ewedu delicacy.
“I remember going for a job interview. The boss walked in with food in a takeaway plastic and, out of courtesy, said, ‘Come and eat’ to everyone. I stood up, washed my hands, and joined him to eat the amala he bought. He let me eat, but I knew that was my first and last day there. I don see as the interview dey go, I no get any chances of getting employed and I came on empty stomach. I can’t lose both ways, please,” he recounted.

His humorous confession has amused many social media users, who applauded his honesty and lighthearted approach to a disappointing situation.
