“Jessica is dead, why must she go and do BBL?” — family member’s voice note sparks outrage online
A viral voice note has triggered widespread outrage after a man shared emotional recordings alleging that a young woman, identified as Jessica, died following complications from a cosmetic surgery.

In the first recording, a woman believed to be a family member expressed shock and pain over Jessica’s death.
“Jessica don leave me commot for this world,” she said repeatedly, struggling to process the news.
She claimed he had spoken to her just a week earlier and had warned her against undergoing the procedure.
“I told this girl last week, go and remove it,” she said, adding that Jessica had told him she had already undergone a second surgery and believed she would be fine. Moments later, he said messages began flooding in. “My people are calling me from the group. Jessica is dead,” she cried.
Allegations against the hospital
A man, reacting after listening to the voice note, accused the hospital of negligence. “They butcher this girl from her yansh down to her leg… she was crying and died in pain.”
He further claimed that the hospital had not issued any statement to explain what led to the alleged complications.
“Up till now, the hospital has not said anything,” he said, accusing the facility of hiding behind consent documents allegedly signed before the procedure.
Calls for caution over cosmetic surgery
The man warned the public to be careful about cosmetic procedures and hospitals. “Information reaching me be say like four or five people dey die for that hospital every year,” he claimed, without providing evidence.
The recordings have since gone viral, sparking heated debate online about cosmetic surgery risks, medical accountability, and patient safety, as many users called for investigations into the circumstances surrounding Jessica’s death.
