Iwobi hits elite Premier League milestone amid Fulham defeat to Palace
Alex Iwobi reached a major Premier League milestone despite Fulham suffering a 3-2 defeat to Crystal Palace at Craven Cottage on Saturday.
The Nigeria international made his 100th Premier League appearance for Fulham after being named in the starting XI. The landmark means Iwobi has now played at least 100 league matches for three different clubs.

Iwobi joins Premier League elite
Iwobi previously reached the century mark during spells with Arsenal and Everton, where he made 100 and 123 Premier League appearances respectively.
His latest appearance puts him in an exclusive group of players to have achieved the feat for three clubs. He joins Gary Speed, Rory Delap, Gareth Barry and James Milner on the list.
The midfielder remained involved in Fulham’s attacking moves against Palace, delivering corners and getting into promising positions inside the visitors’ penalty area.
Despite Iwobi’s personal milestone, Fulham were unable to hold on to their advantage after taking the lead twice during an entertaining contest.
Palace complete comeback at Craven Cottage
Joshua King put Fulham ahead in the 11th minute after collecting the ball inside the penalty area and seeing his effort take a deflection on its way past Dean Henderson.
Palace thought they had responded through Tyrick Mitchell, but the goal was ruled out for offside following a VAR review. Mitchell eventually got on the scoresheet in the 35th minute to level the contest.
Fulham regained the lead shortly before half-time when Cesar Palacios reacted quickest to a rebound and fired home in the 42nd minute.
Palace refused to settle for a point and drew level again nine minutes into the second half, with Mitchell completing his brace in the 54th minute.
The visitors then turned the game around completely in the 77th minute. Ben Chilwell reacted fastest after another rebound inside the box before finding the bottom-right corner to complete Palace’s comeback.
Iwobi was joined by fellow Nigeria international Calvin Bassey in Fulham’s line-up, but the pair could not prevent the hosts from suffering defeat.
