“It’s been 2 years” – Man shares what cousin caught his wife doing in their bedroom

A man has shared how his cousin forgave his girlfriend after allegedly catching her cheating with his best friend, before later marrying her.
According to the story shared on X (formerly Twitter), the man reportedly returned home early from work one Friday and found his girlfriend of three years with his childhood best friend in his bedroom.
Despite the heartbreaking discovery, he allegedly chose not to react violently or cause a scene.
“He didn’t shout. He just picked up his keys, walked out, and ignored every call for 14 days. She later left efo riro and pounded yam at his gate twice with apology notes.”
After several failed attempts to contact him, the lady reportedly convinced him to meet her at a Bukka near the UNILAG gate where they first met during orientation.
During the conversation, she admitted to making a terrible mistake and blamed her actions on fear and anxiety.
According to the narration, the couple later decided to rebuild their relationship through strict boundaries, therapy sessions, and counseling, which gradually helped them regain trust.
“I can’t promise trust, but I can promise I won’t pretend I’m fine while secretly hating you. Forgiveness was harder than walking away.”
“If I had chosen pride that night, I would have lost the only person who knows how to calm me down after a bad day,” he tweeted.
According to the post, the couple eventually got married and later welcomed a son after rebuilding their relationship over the years.
The story has since sparked mixed reactions online, with many debating forgiveness, cheating, second chances, and whether relationships can truly survive betrayal.
