A young woman has sparked widespread debate on social media after releasing a video in which she criticised people who deliberately portray themselves as financially broke to avoid being asked for money.

She said, “The worst set of people I hate in this life are people that act broke so you don’t have to ask them for money. That thing is just bullshit to me. It’s a coward move.”
She added that refusing to give money should be done honestly, without creating a false impression of hardship.
“If you don’t want to give me, you say you don’t want to give me. Why do you lie? It is your money. You worked hard for it,” she stated.
