“It was staring at me…” – Lady spots CCTV camera during job interview in company toilet

A Nigerian lady has captured attention online after sharing what she allegedly saw inside the restroom of a company she visited for a job interview.

The story was posted by @CrystalReignz on X (formerly Twitter), and it has since triggered heated reactions from users.

The Intense Interview

According to her, she went for an interview at a big, unnamed company, and the process was intense.

She said she excused herself during the session to use the restroom, but what she noticed inside left her shaken.

CCTV in Toilets

She claimed she spotted a CCTV camera positioned at the corner of the toilet. Shocked by the discovery, she said she immediately ran out to report it to the HR department.

Company’s Defence

She further alleged that the company justified the presence of the CCTV camera by stating that it is a financial institution and requires strict security measures to prevent theft by staff.

However, she said she was not convinced by the explanation and felt uncomfortable with the idea of cameras being placed inside a restroom.

Job Offer Rejected Over Privacy Fears

She said she immediately declined the offer, stressing that no amount of money would make her comfortable working in an environment where she feels her privacy is invaded.

In her words: “I went for an interview today at a big company, the interview was very intense so I excused myself to go ease myself in the convenience.

I raised my gown up to pee then I looked up, only for me to see a cctv camera at the right corner of the toilet. I couldn’t ease myself anymore, I immediately ran outside to the Hr and said I saw a cctv camera in the convenience which means somebody is staring at our private parts.

In their defence, the company is a financial institution and they do it want staffs stealing money. I immediately told them I can’t work in such an environment, yes they pay in millions but I am not okay with knowing someone is looking at my bumbum.

Is it even okay to put a camera in the toilet?? Or I’m just overreacting??”
