A man who left ₦5,000 in his Nigeria bank account before travelling to the United Kingdom (UK) has shared the surprising balance he saw.
The man, identified as @oluwakso on X (formerly Twitter), shared that he saw ₦500 as the balance.

In the now-viral tweet, @oluwakso shared that he left the money in his UK account for months, which remains intact.
The X users further sought clarity on how banks in the UK earn profit compared to Nigerian banks.
”I left ₦5,000 in my Nigerian bank account before leaving Nigeria. Today the account is ₦500.Meanwhile in the UK, I have left money in my account for months and not even £1 has been deducted.It makes me wonder how do banks here make profit compare to Nigeria 🇳🇬?”, The tweet reads.
