“It has turned my life upside down” — Cheating wife cries out, says, “I cheated once”

A married woman has shared a painful account of how a single act of infidelity shattered the peace in her home and left her marriage filled with silence, suspicion, and emotional distance.

In a lengthy confession, the woman admitted that cheating on her husband was a mistake she deeply regrets. She described the act as “stupid and careless,” but said the consequences have completely changed her life.

Marriage filled with silence and suspicion

According to her account, her husband discovered the incident about six months ago and has not been the same since then.

She said he rarely speaks to her and avoids looking directly at her. Even when they sit in the same room, she explained that the silence between them feels heavy and uncomfortable.

Sometimes, she said, he simply stares at the wall as if she is not there.

The woman also revealed that her husband keeps asking the same painful question repeatedly: whether the other man was better than him.

Even when she denies it and explains that the mistake had nothing to do with comparison, she said he refuses to believe her.

At night, although they still sleep in the same bed, she described their relationship as that of strangers. Whenever she tries to touch him, she said he either moves away or stands up and leaves.

Family pressure to remain in the marriage

The woman said her parents have continued to encourage her to stay in the marriage and keep begging for forgiveness.

According to them, she must fight to keep her home together despite the situation.

She explained that she has tried several ways to show remorse, including cooking, cleaning, and repeatedly attempting to talk with her husband.

However, she said everything she does now appears suspicious to him.

“If I dress nicely he will ask, Is that man waiting for you outside? If my phone rings, he looks at me in a certain way,” she said.

Birthday celebration that ended in tears

Hoping to change things, the woman said she decided to organise a special birthday celebration for her husband.

She prepared food for about 30 people and cooked some of his favourite meals, including pilau, small chops, and goat soup.

She also decorated their house with balloons and lights after he mentioned that his friends would come to celebrate with him.

However, she later discovered that her husband had already told his friends to meet him at a bar instead.

According to her, he did not inform her about the change.

She said she remained dressed and waiting in the decorated living room until she realised that no one was coming.

Standing in the middle of the decorated room, she said she eventually broke down in tears.

Living with daily humiliation

The woman admitted that she understands the pain her actions caused and accepts responsibility for breaking her husband’s trust.

However, she said living under constant suspicion has become emotionally exhausting.

She also claimed that her husband sometimes humiliates her in disturbing ways.

According to her, there are moments when he suddenly approaches her, touches her inappropriately, and then smells his fingers while accusing her of still carrying another man’s sperm.

Despite everything, she said she remains in the marriage, hoping that one day her husband will forgive her and look at her the way he used to.
