Isak considers €130m Al-Hilal move

Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak has reportedly agreed to transfer talks with Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal, despite strong interest from Liverpool.
According to L’Équipe, Al-Hilal are preparing a staggering €130 million bid for the 25-year-old striker, as they look to reinforce their attack ahead of the 2025–26 season.
The Saudi club has reportedly contacted Isak’s representatives, although convincing the Sweden international to leave European football at this stage of his career is expected to be a major hurdle.
Liverpool had previously shown serious interest in Isak, even considering a £120 million move.
However, after Newcastle declared him not for sale, the Reds shifted their focus to Eintracht Frankfurt forward Hugo Ekitike.
Isak enjoyed a stellar 2024–25 season, scoring 23 Premier League goals, second only to Mohamed Salah, and playing a decisive role in Newcastle’s Carabao Cup triumph.
Despite the club’s public stance, fresh speculation has emerged after the player’s agent confirmed that all offers are currently being reviewed.
The striker’s immediate future may become clearer this weekend when Newcastle face Arsenal in a pre-season friendly in Singapore.
Recall Isak missed the previous match against Celtic, reportedly due to distractions caused by ongoing transfer developments.
