“Is this the new way to woo?” – Lady questions modern ‘toasting style’ after strange encounter
A Nigerian lady has sparked conversations online after questioning what she describes as a new approach some men now use to initiate conversations with women.
According to her, she was surprised when a man she recently met chose to call out to her from a distance instead of walking up to her.
In her word, she said:
“Is there now a new way of toasting a lady? Because the guy I met just sat down and was calling me instead of standing up to meet me.”
She went on to compare the situation with how things used to be, noting that men often went the extra mile just to approach a woman and ask for her number.
The lady expressed concern that the effort associated with men approaching women seem to be fading over time.
“Before, a guy would chase and follow a woman anywhere just to get her number, but now things have changed,” she added.
Her statement triggered mixed reactions online, with many Nigerians sharing differing opinions.
