A young Nigerian man has shared the hilarious reaction of his mother after he surprised her with a brand-new iPhone X, which she reportedly thought was an iPhone 17 worth over ₦1 million.
The mother, clearly shocked, couldn’t believe her eyes and immediately demanded to know how he got the money to buy such an expensive gift.
Reacting to the gift in the viral video, she said:
“Is this not the expensive iPhone that is trending? Is it not the phone that cost ₦1m? How did you get the money to buy this for me? Wait until your father comes back first so you can explain.”
The young man explained that it was indeed an iPhone, but not the one worth millions of naira.
Still unconvinced, his mother said he would have to explain better to his father, as she didn’t believe him and was still wondering where he got the money from.
The post has since sparked reactions on social media, with many people praising the son’s thoughtful gesture and sharing their own experiences of surprising their parents.
