“Is it Valentine’s gift from…?” – Man cries out after receiving ₦24M in forgotten bank account, vows not to touch it

A Nigerian man has sparked massive reactions online after revealing that he received a shocking ₦24 million credit alert in a bank account he claims to have abandoned for two years.
According to him, the incident happened on a Sunday, which is today while he was casually scrolling through his phone.
Out of nowhere, a huge credit notification popped up — and he insists he was not expecting any money from anyone.
“Today is Sunday, I was just scrolling through my phone and I saw this credit alert. I don’t know if it’s Valentine gift from EFCC or Fidelity Bank. I’m not a thief.
The way you people transferred that money, you people should remove it. I won’t touch a dime from it. I have not used that account for like two years now.”
The visibly worried man explained that he decided to make the video immediately to protect himself from any possible accusation or legal trouble.
While some Nigerians praised his honesty, others suggested he should urgently report the issue to his bank rather than just posting online.
Many also warned that mysterious transfers could lead to serious investigations if not handled properly.
A commentator wrote, “Better no touch that money, make you no go land for kirikiri😭.” Another added, “This country fit test person integrity. Please go bank first thing tomorrow morning.”
For now, the man maintains that the money is not his and insists he will not spend even one naira from it.
