iPhone 17 Pro: Full Details and Specifications

The iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max are Apple’s latest high-end flagship smartphones, available alongside the iPhone Air and iPhone 17. The iPhone 17 Pro variants are Apple’s most advanced smartphones, featuring larger displays, additional cameras, and enhanced performance compared to previous generations.

Apple revised the design of the iPhone 17 Pro versions, but the sizes remained unchanged. The iPhone 17 Pro features a 6.3-inch display, while the iPhone 17 Pro Max has a 6.9-inch display. Apple modified the interior construction, resulting in both iPhone 17 Pro models being somewhat thicker, taller, and wider than the iPhone 16 Pro models.

When was the iPhone 17 Pro release date?

Pre-orders for the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max began on Friday, September 12, at 5:00 a.m. Pacific Time, or 8:00 a.m. Eastern Time. The latest iPhones will be released on Friday, September 19.

Beginning in 2026, Apple will separate its iPhone portfolio into fall and spring releases. The iPhone 18 Air, iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, and a foldable iPhone will be released in the second half of 2026, while the normal iPhone 18 and iPhone 18e won’t be available until spring 2027.

The iPhone 18 Pro models that will be released in 2026 may use under-display Face ID, reducing the size of the Dynamic Island. There might just be a single camera hole for the front-facing camera, with the camera cutout located in the top left corner. Later, in 2027, Apple may produce an iPhone with an all-screen design that has an edge-to-edge display without cuts. Apple is effectively planning iPhone design improvements every year until 2027.

According to reports, Apple’s first foldable iPhone will be released in the fall of 2026, with the iPhone 18 Air and iPhone 18 Pro variants. A high-quality hinge is anticipated to result in a “nearly invisible” seam when folded.
