Inter prepare improved €45m bid for Atalanta’s Lookman

Inter Milan are set to submit an improved offer worth €45 million, including bonuses, for Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman.

Recall the Nerazzurri had initially tabled a €40 million bid earlier this week, but are now ready to increase their offer by €5 million in an effort to push negotiations forward, according to Corriere dello Sport via Inter News.

Atalanta, however, continue to hold out for a €50 million fee and remain firm on their valuation.

Inter’s latest proposal is expected to be formally presented early next week and is believed to be for a permanent transfer, not a loan with an obligation to buy as previously speculated in some reports.

The Serie A giants are reportedly confident, as Lookman is said to be keen on making the switch to the Champions League finalists.

Inter may leverage the Nigerian international’s desire to move in hopes of bridging the remaining gap in valuation with Atalanta.
