Inter, Atalanta chiefs meet in Milan over Lookman transfer

Inter Milan president Beppe Marotta and Atalanta CEO Luca Percassi were both in attendance at Tuesday’s Serie A league council meeting in Milan, where high-stakes transfer talks for Ademola Lookman are expected to intensify.
The meeting, a routine gathering of league stakeholders, takes on added significance with Lookman’s future on the line.
Inter are preparing an improved bid for the Nigerian international after their initial offer was rejected.
Reports from Italy suggest Atalanta are holding firm on a €50 million valuation for the 27-year-old.
Meanwhile, Inter are considering a structured proposal of €45 million plus €5 million in performance-related bonuses to close the deal.
Marotta, speaking to reporters, hinted that negotiations could be resolved within “two to three days.”
