“In 10 minutes”- Tinubu visits Jos after attack on Palm Sunday, makes vow to victims’ families

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has visited victims of the recent Palm Sunday attack in Jos, offering condolences and assuring them of government support.
During the visit, the President addressed survivors and families of victims, including a grieving mother identified as Favour Rhoda, whose emotional video holding her late son went viral.
“You have no light at the airport, and I have to fly back within the next ten minutes. To the victims, there is nothing I can give you, whether money in millions, but to console you.
I take, for example, Rhoda, I know the pain. I saw in the video how you held on to Ayuba, and the pain and agony in your heart, but it is only God who can give you joy and comfort,” he said.
The President acknowledged that no amount of financial compensation can replace the lives lost, describing the situation as deeply painful and difficult for the affected families.
He, however, assured the victims that measures would be taken to prevent a recurrence of such tragic incidents across the country.
“No amount of money can pay all of you back, but I promise that this experience will not repeat itself,” he added.
The visit comes amid growing concerns over insecurity, as Nigerians continue to demand lasting solutions to protect lives and communities.
