This recognition comes on the heels of Oparanozie’s recent retirement from professional football, which she announced last week.

The 29-year-old striker enjoyed an illustrious career, making significant contributions to women’s football in Nigeria and internationally.

Oparanozie’s last international duty was with the Super Falcons during the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.

The tournament marked her fourth World Cup appearance since her debut in 2011.

Oparanozie contributed to the Super Falcons’ success in the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations. She played a vital role in the team’s triumphs in 2010, 2014, 2016, and 2018 editions.
