I’m not coming back to Nigeria despite imminent war – UAE-based Nigerian lady
A Nigerian woman based in the United Arab Emirates has stirred reactions online after sharing strong views about migration and security concerns.
In a viral video, she expressed frustration over insecurity in Nigeria, saying it was one of the reasons many citizens choose to relocate abroad, popularly referred to as “japa.”
She lamented that despite moving overseas in search of safety and stability, rising tensions and reports of conflict in other regions have created fresh anxiety.
It would be recalled that there had been a recent attack by Iran who had sent a couple of missiles into the UAE some days ago.
The woman stated that she would not want to be evacuated back to Nigeria, insisting that she feels more confident in countries with established military structures and air defence systems.
She contrasted that with what she described as Nigeria’s weak security capacity.
Her words in part …
“Nigeria is a useless country that is why we Japa. Where we Japa go now, war dey come there. We no even pray make them bring plane for me make I come Nigeria. I no dey pray like that. Make Una no bring any plane o. If I perish, I perish.
We’re not afraid because dey country get military men and air defence. Nigeria no even get anything.”
