A woman has shared a disturbing account of alleged abuse and neglect in her matrimonial home, revealing how she struggled to provide for her children amid claimed indifference from her husband.

The woman, who did not disclose her name, said she was forced to move from house to house begging for food for her children.

Despite facing insults and humiliation, she said she persevered to ensure her children had something to eat.

She said the attack happened on her marital bed, a space she described as being shared by her family.

The mother claimed that despite being married, she felt abandoned, stating that she lived “like a widow” in her own home.

She expressed that the emotional toll of her circumstances left her confused and stressed, sometimes contemplating her own fate while worrying for her children.

In an emotional statement, she said “I couldn’t watch my children die of hunger, so I went from house to house begging just for them to eat. People insulted me and called me names, but I didn’t care.”
