“I’ll keep dancing, praising God because it doesn’t affect my work” – Gov. Adeleke tells critics

Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has said he has no plans to drop his famous dance moves, insisting that his love for praising God has never affected his performance in office.

Governor Defends Himself on Live TV

Adeleke, who has gained nationwide popularity as the “dancing governor,” spoke during an appearance on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Wednesday.

He said the criticism around his joyful public displays is misplaced.

“My Hobby Doesn’t Disturb Governance”

Adeleke stressed that dancing is simply his way of relaxing, and it doesn’t interfere with his responsibilities.

“I will keep dancing because I love to dance, I love to praise my God, and that doesn’t change anything,” he said.

He added that everyone has their own way of unwinding, and his happens to be dancing and praising God.

Eye on 2026 Re-election

The governor, who is contesting for a second term under the Accord Party, dismissed claims that his energetic style could harm his political prospects.

According to him, voters are more interested in performance than personal hobbies.

Recent Viral Moment Sparks Reactions

Adeleke recently trended online after he started singing praises at a public event instead of going straight into his speech.

The moment led to a brief interruption by First Lady Oluremi Tinubu, triggering mixed reactions across social media.
