“I’ll give you ₦1m” – Man dares Nigerians to prove Pastor Kumuyi told members not to watch TV

A Nigerian man has offered ₦1 million to anyone who can provide a video or audio recording showing Pastor William Kumuyi, the General Superintendent of Deeper Christian Life Ministry, telling his church members not to watch television.

The challenge was directed at X user @MathiasIgonor amid an ongoing discussion about the cleric’s teachings on television and whether he had previously discouraged members of Deeper Life from watching it.

The man insisted that he was ready to pay the money if anyone could produce credible evidence of Kumuyi making such a statement.

‘I’ll Give You ₦1m’

In his challenge, the man called on @MathiasIgonor or anyone else with evidence to present the recording.

“I’ll give you or anyone ₦1m if you/they can provide a video clip or Audio clip where Pastor Kumuyi told his members not to watch TV,” he stated.

He, however, said the evidence would not simply be accepted at face value, explaining that the recording would first be examined to establish whether it was genuine.

“Video clip will be authenticated and checked for originality, Date of the Sermon (Preaching) will also be confirmed,” he added.
