Reacting to the incident, a man took to X, formerly Twitter, to advise Nigerians to keep cats in their homes as protection against snakes.
In his post, he wrote: “Cats are not witches. If you live in Nigeria, you should own at least three cats. They’re snakes’ worst nightmare. Help yourselves.”
The comment quickly gained attention, drawing mixed reactions from social media users who shared differing opinions and personal experiences.

Kachi disagreed with the claim, saying: “Actually, the mongoose is the snake’s worst nightmare. The honey badger, too.”
