Kachi disagreed with the claim, saying: “Actually, the mongoose is the snake’s worst nightmare. The honey badger, too.”

Andinox supported the idea but raised concerns, writing: “Very True. I agree with you. But isn’t 3 too much by the way? Their poo stinks though”.

Nnayi shared a personal view, stating: “I naturally dislike cats, not because of the Nigeria myth that they’re witches or easily possessed.”

Deyemi gave a detailed explanation, stressing the alert value of cats during danger.

He wrote: “This is very correct. The one option that snake has is for the cat not to see it first. Once the cat sees it, that’s a win for you.”

He added: “At least you would be alerted automatically once your cats start fighting the snake.”

Bright also weighed in, comparing cats to dogs.

He said: “They fight danger without making noise unlike dogs that backs without acting most of the time.”

However, Iamkmo expressed concern about public perception.

He wrote: “Any small problem like this…you will hear do you have a cat in your house, it has been possessed……You want these people to start catching out using cats again.”
