“If you’re not a feminist in 2026, you’re a pick-me” – Feminist to women

A lady has gone viral after a video of her urging girls to embrace feminism, describing it as essential for self-protection and empowerment in 2026 surfaced online.

The video, shared on X (formerly Twitter) by @Gidi_Traffic, shows her passionately addressing young women about the importance of recognizing feminism in today’s society.

Feminism as a Shield

The lady argued that girls who reject feminism are putting themselves at risk of being exploited.

According to her, failing to recognize feminism’s role in society makes one a “pick-me.”

She added that society, parents, religion, and men can all manipulate women who are unaware of their rights and the struggles that paved the way for the freedoms they enjoy today.

Recognizing Historical Struggles

She further stated that the privileges women enjoy today, such as education, financial independence, and career opportunities, are outcomes of feminist movements.

She warned that denying feminism means ignoring the efforts of those who fought to secure these opportunities.

In the viral clip, she said: “If you’ve not started practicing feminism as a religion in 2026, and you are a girl, that means you are a pick-me. And guess what? They would pick you. Those men that you are always supporting, they would not just pick you, but they would also use you and dump you. Now, I see the reason why as a girl, you should be saying, ‘Oh, I am not a feminist,’ but yet you have a bank account, yet you go to school, yet you can work. Who are the people that fought for all these things that you are enjoying now? And you wake up one morning and say, ‘Oh, no, you are not a feminist.’ You are just a pick-me. They would pick you, they would use you. You are in a country or a society where society is manipulating you. Men would manipulate you. Your parents would manipulate you. Religion itself would manipulate you. And yet you say you are not a feminist. Okay, be ready, because you are going to get used, and not just used—they will use you and then dump you. At the end of the day, you will become bitter.”
