“If you treat your birthday like a normal day, you don’t value life” – Man says

A man criticised individuals who dismiss the significance of their own birthdays, describing it as a sign of self-neglect and a lack of respect for life.

Challenging attitudes towards birthdays

In the video, the speaker expressed strong disapproval for people who treat their birthdays as ordinary days, arguing that such behaviour reflects deeper issues of self-worth.

See, man, one of the worst—and one of the worst of the worst people on this planet earth—are all those people that tell you when it’s their birthday. They tell you there is nothing special about their birthday, but it’s just another date. They don’t post or even wish themselves happy birthday on their status. They treat it like a goddamn normal day,” he said.

He emphasised the connection between valuing one’s birthday and valuing life itself.

Like, I have no respect for you, because you don’t value your life, man. Because that’s just what it means. It means you do not value anything. If the day you were put on this earth means nothing else to you, that actually means nothing to you,” he added.

On empathy and recognising others

The man further questioned whether individuals who dismiss their own birthdays can genuinely acknowledge or celebrate the milestones of others.

To be honest, if someone does not value his birthday, how are you expecting them to go and value somebody else’s birthday? Let me be honest, like let’s look at it rationally. If I don’t value my birthday, do you think I’ll give a… about your own goddamn birthday?” he asked.

He also touched on the darker implications of neglecting one’s self-value, cautioning viewers without promoting harmful actions.

You can just probably end it all if you feel nothing special about your life. Like bro, even though what I’m saying, man, but I don’t encourage that, obviously not. Please, that’s not being mature, that’s just being corny to the core,” he concluded.

The clip has sparked a mixed response online, with some praising the candid discussion on self-worth, while others argue that personal perspectives on birthdays vary widely.
