“If you don’t want an unintelligent child marry…” – Doctor warns men about their choice of partner
A Nigerian doctor has left young men thinking twice about marriage, claiming that children inherit intelligence from their mothers.
He explained that the gene for intelligence is carried on the X chromosome, and since women have two X chromosomes while men have only one, children get their brainpower mainly from their mother.
In his words, he said:
“Children inherit intelligence from their mother. If you see any child that is not intelligent or that is not smart, blame the mother. Why do I say so? The gene for intelligence is always from the X chromosome, and women have it in abundance.”
He went on to advise unmarried men to be selective in choosing their life partners, emphasizing that who you marry is what you will replicate.
According to him, marrying solely based on looks or physical features like “breast and yansh” could impact the child’s intellectual inheritance.
“Leave breast and yansh. Look for women with good IQ. Very important as a young man. Look at all these things if you want to get married,” he added.

The doctor’s advice has sparked debates online, reminding young men that in marriage, looks are not everything.
