“If Peter Obi doesn’t get ADC ticket, he should come back to Labour; I’ll support him” – Datti

Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed, former vice-presidential candidate of the Labour Party, says he maintains a strong relationship with Peter Obi and remains open to supporting him politically.
He made this known while speaking in a recent interview.

Datti declares interest to run for presidency
It would be recalled that a couple of days ago, Datti Yusuf had spoken on his interest to run for president under the Labour party after Peter Obi left for ADC.
He had clarified his reason to run for presidency, despite vying for vice president in the last election.
Datti clarifies relationship with Peter Obi
While speaking recently, he noted that he and Peter Obi maintains a solid relationship, despite being in different parties.
Datti stated that if Obi fails to secure the presidential ticket of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), he would welcome him back to the Labour Party and support his bid for the ticket.
He added that Obi did not inform him about his move to the ADC, noting that Obi likely understood he would not defect with him.

“Me and Mr Peter Obi have solid relationship. If Peter Obi doesn’t get the ticket in ADC, he should come back to the Labour Party, I will back him to get the ticket even though he did not tell me anything about the ADC party because he knew I will not join.”
