“If my mum doesn’t like you, we can’t get married.” — Man says he trust his mom wholeheartedly

A man has ignited heated conversations online after openly stating that his decision to marry any woman is entirely dependent on whether his mother approves of her.

In a viral clip circulating on X (formerly Twitter), the man explained that he places complete trust in his mother’s judgement and would never proceed with marriage if she does not like his partner, regardless of personal feelings.

Man says mother’s approval determines his choice of wife

According to him, many men make the mistake of distrusting their mothers’ judgement, a decision he believes often leads to marital issues. He stressed that his mother has never misled him in life and remains his most trusted guide.

“My approval of a woman or my consideration of a woman for marriage heavily hinges on what my mother thinks of her,” he said. “That’s the woman who raised me and made me the man that I am today.”

He added that if his mother shows disinterest or discomfort towards a woman he introduces to her, the relationship would automatically stall.

“If I introduce her to a woman and she doesn’t take to that woman, I’ll start side-eyeing her. Even if I try my hardest, it will never go further than that,” he stated.

The man clarified that while he respects men who marry women that do not get along with their mothers, such a choice is not something he can personally make.
