“If my husband won’t forgive me for cheating, why should I?” – Lady sets strict marriage rules

A Nigerian woman has stirred reactions online after revealing her firm stance on cheating in marriage.
According to her, while she is happily married, she has made it clear that infidelity would be a dealbreaker in her relationship.
In a viral video shared on X (formerly Twitter) by @feeztm, she explained that her husband shares the same view: if either of them cheats, the marriage would be over once discovered.
In her own words:
“I’m married oo, but the day my husband cheats on me, my marriage is going to be over, except I don’t know or find out.
But if I know, my marriage is over because my husband too has told me that once I cheat on him and he finds out, the marriage is going to be over.”
She insists that forgiveness should not be one-sided, emphasizing that both partners need to uphold the same standards for a relationship to work.
Her revelation has divided opinions online, while others argued that absolute zero-tolerance might not leave room for growth or mistakes in a marriage other praised her approach.
A commentator wrote, “It’s harsh but honest. If both agree, then that’s the rule of the house.” Another critic added, “You never ready for marriage. What makes you think you have equal rights in marriage?”
