“If he doesn’t give you Valentine’s gift…” – Lady lists agencies to drag stingy boyfriend
A Nigerian lady has set social media on fire after dropping a controversial Valentine’s Day advice for women in relationships.
In a video making the rounds online, she jokingly warned ladies not to tolerate boyfriends who refuse to buy them gifts on Valentine’s Day.
According to her, any man who fails to show love with presents deserves to be “reported” based on his lifestyle.
In her words, she said:
“If your boyfriend doesn’t buy you anything for Valentine and he smokes, report him to NDLEA. If he’s a Yahoo boy, report him to EFCC. If his car doesn’t have plate number, report him to police.
If he doesn’t have driver’s license, report him to VIO. If he doesn’t pay tax, report him to FIRS. This Valentine, no gree for any boyfriend. He must buy you gift, or else put him in trouble.”
Her statement has sparked heavy reactions online, with many Nigerians trooping to the comment section to share their thoughts.
A commentator wrote, “Na wa o, Valentine don turn FBI investigation.” “So because of teddy bear, make I go prison?” Another added, “Ladies, abeg calm down. Some of us are still trying to survive January.”
While some described the advice as cruise and pure banter, others insisted that effort matters, especially on special days.
As Valentine’s Day draws closer, one thing is clear — the pressure is getting wesser, and social media is not helping.
