“I was praying at mosque when they called me” – Man cries out as daughter passes away during trance in church

A Nigerian man has sparked emotions online after allegedly opening up on the sudden death of his daughter, who he claimed had been in a church for days before passing away.
The story was shared on Facebook by a Barrister identified as Atanda, who said he received the emotional message from the distraught father seeking advice on possible legal action.
Father Receives Devastating News
According to the narration, the man said he got the heartbreaking information while he was away in Ghana for work.
He explained that he was informed his daughter had been on a spiritual trance inside a church for about seven days before she reportedly died overnight.
He added that the call came in while he was praying at a mosque, which made the news even more shocking for him.
Disagreement Over Religion
The man also alleged that he had repeatedly warned his wife not to take their children to church because of their religious differences.
He claimed he was unaware that his daughter had been attending spiritual activities or fasting for several days without his knowledge or consent.
He expressed deep confusion and emotional distress, saying he did not know what steps to take next.
He wrote: “I just got information now that my daughter who has been on trance for the past seven days passed away overnight right inside the church.
Their call came in while I was praying at the mosque this morning. I’m a Muslim. I have warned my wife several times never to take my children to church but she won’t hear.
I am currently in Ghana for work when I got this information. I don’t even have an idea that my daughter is on trance for the past seven days inside a church without my approval and consent.
Atanda, I want to know if my wife and the church can be held responsible for what happened because I want to make sure she ends her life in jail.
I heard they did not give food for the past seven days. They said she only requested for honey. My own daughter that I know very well, she doesn’t joke with food. They are now telling me that she said she wants honey only. Is honey a food?
I am coming back to Nigeria tomorrow. I am just confused and don’t know what to do right now. You are the only person I can talk to because I don’t even know if I am running mad already.”
The story has since triggered mixed reactions online.
