“I was a teacher for 13 years”- Man quits teaching to become suya seller in London
A Nigerian man, Kolawole Ajayi. has gone viral online after quitting his teaching job in Nigeria to become a suya seller in London.
In an interview video, the man disclosed that he was a teacher for 13 years in Nigeria, and his suya business was his part-time hustle.
Details Of The Interview
The now-viral video posted to TikTok handle, @Onijekujelondon shows the man detailing his suya preparation.
According to him, he left his teaching job because his income from the suya business was half of his salary.
“I was doing that for like 13 years since it was a side hustle for me. I was cooking and doing YouTube videos, and later I was doing catering for people, barbecue for people. So when my passive income was half of what my salary was, I decided to leave my nursery job and take this as a full-time business”He said.
Speaking further, he shared that he had encountered challenges in his business, narrating an experience of wind blowing off his suya pepper.
