“I used ₦7m to open shop for him…” – Lady cries out after husband allegedly cheats and gets another lady pregnant

A Nigerian lady has sparked reactions online after sharing her plan to send her husband out of their home following allegations that he impregnated another woman.

The story was shared on Facebook by Fegor Chime, where the woman opened up on the events that led to her decision to consider divorce.

Marriage Built on Sacrifice

According to her, she got married as a virgin while her husband was still struggling financially.

She revealed that she used her personal savings to open a building materials shop for him, reportedly spending close to ₦7 million.

She also disclosed that she had purchased land before their www, and together they later built a three-bedroom apartment, which was completed last year.

She noted that all the property documents bear her name. The couple currently has one child.

Suspicion and Health Concerns

The young woman explained she began noticing changes in her husband’s behaviour last year, including putting passwords on his phone and social media accounts, but she initially overlooked the signs.

However, she later suffered an infection, which she said cost her a significant amount to treat.

She said she initially suspected it might have been caused by poor hygiene, only to later realise it was due to her husband’s alleged extramarital affairs.

In her words: “I am 29 and I married my husband as a virgin. He is 35. He is not financially buoyant, but then he was a good man so I used my savings to open a shop for him, he sells building materials. The shop was opened with almost 7m.

The land I bought before marriage we started building on it and we just completed the 3-bedroom apartment last year, all documents are carrying my name. We have one child for now.

Since last year I noticed that my husband began to behave strange, he password his phone, WhatsApp and even Facebook but I overlooked it. There was a time I got infection that I spent a lot to cure and I was even thinking I got it from toilet not knowing that this useless husband is sleeping around without protection.

Recently he impregnated one girl. The girl has been calling him and sending messages but my husband was avoiding her calls. She later came to my store and explained everything. She said they have been dating for months and he told her he is single. She apologised to me.

When I told my husband, he denied it. I invited the girl and my elder brother. When she came, my husband was shocked and hiding in shame. She repeated everything and even showed their chats.

My brother has collected the shop keys from him. I have told him he has three days to pack his things and leave the house. Let him go and marry the girl. I want to file for divorce. He has been begging for another chance but I told him if he can cheat on me now he can do it again. Hope I am making the right decision? If it was me that cheated on him, he would also throw me out.”
