Nigerian international music act, Wizkid has said he switched from his old style of music because he wants people to play his songs even on Sundays.
The self-styled Starboy made this disclosure in an exclusive interview with Red Radio held over the weekend; same interview wherein he chose Ronaldo over Messi.
According to him, he wasn’t satisfied with his songs being mostly played in parties and nightclubs, so he opted for an all-embracing sound.
Speaking during the media chat, he said ‘Blessed’, his joint with Damian Marley is his favourite track on the ‘Made in Lagos’ album because it was a spiritual session.
He also said he has plans on working with upcoming Nigerian artistes like Tems, Bella Shmurda and Omah Lay who he said recently spent five days recording with him in Ghana.
Wizkid whose real name is Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun also disclosed that he is already working on a new album which is set to drop pretty soon.
