Big Brother Naija, 2019 winner Mercy Eke in an interview with Hero Daniels of LITV revealed that she started praying about participating on the reality TV show since January.
We had reported that Mercy won the ‘Pepper Dem’ edition of the reality show as she polled the highest votes to beat four other finalists – Mike, Frodd, Omashola and Seyi – after 99 days of drama and intrigue.
Also known as the queen of highlights, Mercy, by virtue of this feat, has won a cash prize worth over ₦40 million, brand new Innosson SUV, Dubai trip for two and other prizes.
While speaking recently, she said she started praying about the show since January and that she was attending church events to achieve her dream of featuring in the show.
According to her, whenever she attended such events, she always prayed about the show for God to make her feature in it.
She noted, also, that during the audition in Warri, Delta State, she was rejected before she went for another one in Imo State where she was selected as a housemate for the BBNaija 2019 show.

Mercy also disclosed that she has to resort to selling of roasted corn and other menial jobs with her family.
