“I started crying” Former Covenant University lecturer with PhD posts his salary
A former lecturer at Covenant University has gone viral online after sharing details of his monthly earnings.
The lecturer, a Ph.D holder, disclosed that after checking his payslip while lecturing at the university in 2024, he burst into tears.

The lecturer, identifed with the X handle, @Engrbrimmy, on X (formely Twitter) shared that he was earning ₦133,000 monthly while lecturing at the university.
In his tweet which has gone viral online, the lecturer disclosed that accommodation, light, and water expenses were deducted from the monthly pay.
”I looked at my payslip (with Ph.D) from when I was a Lecturer at Covenant University and I started crying.Man was legit earning 133k WITH A Ph.D”, The tweet reads.
Meanwhile, the tweet which has garnered over 800,000 views has left the X platform buzzing with users sharing their thoughts and opinions.
