A young lady has sparked reactions online after narrating how she confronted a 35-year-old man who repeatedly asked her to be in a relationship with him.

Persistent Advances Despite Rejection

The lady, identified as Nims Afemai, took to the popular social media platform, Facebook to narrate the encounter.

Nims explained that the man had been persistently trying to win her over, even after she made it clear that she was not interested in any relationship at the moment.

She added that she had told him she was not ready to handle what she described as “baggage,” but he allegedly continued insisting, trying to convince her that he was different from other men.

Age Difference Sparks Heated Exchange

According to Nims, the situation escalated after she asked for his age and discovered he was 35 while she is 25.

The revelation reportedly led to a heated discussion, during which she questioned the age gap and accused him of holding double standards regarding marriage.

She claimed the man argued that men can marry at any age but admitted he would not consider marrying a woman who is already 30, a statement she said further angered her.

Debate Over Marriage and Expectations

Nims revealed that she strongly challenged his views, criticising what she described as ego and selfishness, and emphasising the differences in societal expectations for men and women.

He Eventually Apologised

After the intense back-and-forth, Nims said the man eventually apologised to her.
