“I remember being shocked when I…” – Man recounts hospital encounter after his late mother collapsed

A Nigerian man identifed as @Jaybea9 on X (formely Twitter) has recounted his encounter at the hospital after his late mother collapsed.
In a widely circulated post, he disclosed that his mother was rushed to Ace Medicare Hospital, but no doctor was on duty to attend to her.

Man Recounts Encounter At Hospital
Eventually, she was rushed to two other hospitals that rejected her. At one of the hospitals, a medical practitioner referred her to the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH).
According to the X user, his father suggested they head home, which he declined.
Although his mother was registered at Ace Medicare and received treatment at the hospital before she collapsed.
However, he reached out to a neighbour via a phone call and learned about a hospital near their neighbourhood.
On arrival, a medical doctor commenced treatment, noting that the hospital had limited facilities to manage his mother’s condition.
In a tragic twist , she passed away after three days.
Man Reflects On Mother’s Death
Reflecting on his mother’s death, he stated, “I still struggle with the thought that her death could have been avoided if she had received timely and adequate medical care. What hurts even more is knowing that we did everything we could”.
