“I regret going to school, it didn’t help me” – Man expresses frustration as he angrily tears his school certificates
A Nigerian man has expressed frustration over his educational experience after angrily tearing his university degree certificate, National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) certificate and O’level result.
In a video shared on X (formerly Twitter), the man displayed his documents, identifying his Bachelor of Science (BSc) certificate as a second-class upper degree in psychology before proceeding to tear them.

He described the documents as his original copies and expressed disappointment over the outcome of his educational journey.
While tearing the certificates, the man declared that he no longer wanted to be a graduate, insisting that going to school had not helped him.
“I want to be an illiterate. I don’t want to be a graduate again. I regret going to school; it didn’t help me. See, this is my certificate.
Here is my BSc, this is a second-class upper in BSc in psychology. My NYSC certificate, O’level, these are the original copies. I am tearing them. I don tear am finish,” he lamented.
The video has sparked conversations about the frustrations some graduates face when their educational qualifications do not translate into the opportunities or progress they had hoped for.
